In 2011 I will be working in encaustic mono-typing. So more to follow later about that.
The latest art news is varied and fun. In 2010 and going into 2011 I am expanding my work and working very hard. In the past few months I have had work in eight shows and three National shows. So it has been keeping me busy. I have had a goal of taking my work in some new directions. The beginning of this has gone well and I plan on expanding more. I have begun to work on some encaustic mono prints and I love this. It is the most beautiful and exciting medium and looks amazing. I know over the course of this next year these mono prints will get better and more involved. I am also working on beginning a new series. I have not titled it yet but it is in a working mode in my head. I am excited about the challenge and the growth that will take place in my work.
Lastly I am considering a residency in Scotland. That is still on the back burner but very exciting to think about. So keep posted for more news to come. :)
