As 2009 ends and 2010 approaches I have been on a roller coaster. I finished 13 of the Color Series and had to stop. I became very jaded about the art world and climate. I could not paint another thing and contemplated quitting entirely. As I spent time thinking about this dilemma I finally came to some conclusions. One was of course I have to continue to paint, it is in me like the bones that support me. Anyway I worked through it and now am embarking on a couple of new series of works. Both quite different and both equally lovely. I am liking the way things are going so I will keep working. This will take me well into 2010 and hopefully I will have some truly nice works as a result. They will be mixed media monotypes with acrylics, collage and some charcoal. I also hope to paint some nudes for a particular show if I can. so many new things on the horizon and I am much more hopeful. I have worked through my blue funk. :)

Collage art is one of the first green art forms. From early on artists were collecting and recycling discards from society. Collage artist chronicling the society through it's throw outs.
