2010 has improved my general art disposition I am happy to report. Well into the year and I feel better. I am still working on a variety of series and enjoying that. Always good to explore a subject for growth. I have been introduced to encaustic and the wax world. I spent two days working with another artist in her encaustic studio and this is an amazing medium. I know there will be more encaustic in my future. Mixed media is still my passion and collage dominates. Collage lends itself very well to encaustic so this is something I am sure I will begin to incorporate into more work. Currently my studio is being remodeled and things are every where. I hope to have things back in order soon. Planning a wedding right now so my painting time is being challenged. More later.. :)

Collage art is one of the first green art forms. From early on artists were collecting and recycling discards from society. Collage artist chronicling the society through it's throw outs. Using and reusing what some claim to be garbage is reborn as fine art. Just look around you will see art that represents what is happening in society and is captured for ever.
